Turning words into swords and swords into ploughshares

About Us

The Asha Kay Casting Team is growing, and includes talented actors of stage and screen, voice performers and fellow creatives. Together they work to fill production roles with dedication, professionalism and passion.

Asha Kay (AK) Whiteley loves all things film and writing. In 2000 AK walked the streets of Melbourne searching for extras to film Lestat's Death Valley concert scene in the 2002 film Queen of the Damned.

After working in various industries, and over a decade travelling around Australia, AK finally pursued her passion for film and moved to the Gold Coast to study a Diploma of Screen and Media (Screenwriting) at the New York Film Academy's Australian campus.

Now furthering her education with a Bachelor of Film and Television at Brisbane's JMC Academy, AK's focus is on casting. Currently specialising in casting student films, AK surrounds herself with others who understand the importance of working together towards a collective goal.
